Submission Rights & Display

By entering this hackathon you agree that the sponsor and its partners have the right to use the winnersnames to promote the competition. The sponsor can only use participation information in its communication concerning this hackathon. Events can be recorded (photos, videos, etc.) and the sponsor can use these recordings in its communication. Also third parties, like media, can use the recordings in their communications. 

Eligibility Requirements

We welcome students from higher education institutions in Finland, Sweden and Norway to participate in the hackathon. 

In case the hackathon gets more than 50 participants, the participants will be selected based on balance between different challenges and the order of registration.

Who can participate? Students over the age of 18 at the time of the Hackathon.

Are there any limits on team size? Participants should work together in teams of 2 to 5.

Data Access and Use

You may access and use the hackathon data for non-commercial purpose, including for participating in this hackathon, and for academic research and education. The sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any participant who uses the data other than as permitted by the hackathon rules. 

Submission Requirements

All files must be submitted by the submission deadline on Devpost. All written, visual and spoken material must be in English. 

Prizes & Winner Selection

To be eligible for a prize you have to:

·       Be part of a team of 2 to 5 persons

·       Submit your project through Devpost by following all submission requirements (insufficient submissions will not be evaluated)

·       Fill in all the necessary fields on Devpost submission form BEFORE the deadline on August 29th 2022 at 9:00 EEST.

All contestants that have submitted and adhered to the rules of submission will be evaluated with respect to the judging criteria. One winning team will be selected for each challenge:  

Each winning team member will receive a diploma of their achievement. Also, each winning team member will receive a DIT4BEARs/Lapland UAS -themed hoodie. 

Members of all teams that have submitted their contribution will receive a certificate of attendance. 

Intellectual Rights

Everything developed at the hackathon will be open source (CC BY). Lapland University of Applied Sciences will only use the contributions in non-commercial purposes. 

Cancellation

A team can cancel its participation in the hackathon challenge any time. The sponsor can cancel team’s participation for a well-founded reason (breaking the rules, inappropriate behavior, etc.)
